So it feels like Day 1746536 in isolation, you’re laid on the couch with a glass of wine scrolling through TikTok and crying with laughter, when you realise that it is 2AM!! Don’t worry – me too!
Despite being created in 2017 and merging with musical.ly in 2018, TikTok is having a moment as many of us are stuck in the house and glued to our phones. I mean it’s hardly a surprise; all of the songs are insanely catchy, all of the dances seem deceptively simple and the memes are hysterical. But beauty and fashion are becoming increasingly popular on this rising platform and they are the 60-Second Fashion Dosage that you didn’t know you needed. So here are some accounts that you should be following. Trust me, whether it is to inspire your quarantine outfit, to teach you the latest makeup trends or to help you pass the time – a little too well – you will love these ‘TikTokers’.
Delaney Childs @delaneychilds
Delaney is a fashion, beauty and lifestyle influencer on Instagram and YouTube and her TikTok is a must. She has many styling videos as well as makeup and, of course, she has some TikTok dances and challenges on there with her boyfriend.
Taylor Hage @tayhage
Taylor is a model who has moved her daily outfit posts from Instagram to TikTok recently and is killing it! She also posts fashion tips and outfits copied from her style icons. Her transitions are amazing – seriously, how does she do it??
Brittany Xavier @brittany.xavier
Brittany is an influencer who is loving TikTok to give us that daily dosage of fashion, beauty and DIYs. If you want a fashion lookbook, at home workout, vegan/gluten free dessert recipe or just some help on how to film your own TikToks – check her out! She is also a sustainability queen, which of course we LOVE!
Daisy Jelley @daisyjelley
Daisy is a London-based model and also a trained dancer who choreographs her own TikTok dances which blow up into viral trends. When not in quarantine, she also posts #OOTD and Days in the Life where she goes to modelling shoots and events. I am OBSESSED with her – I mean look at her…

Addison Rae @addisonre
Addison as one of the biggest creators on the platform, is ultimate goals for everything and also has a song named after her – so if you haven’t heard of her, I don’t know where you’ve been. She mostly posts lip sync and dance videos with her family and fellow Hype House members but occasionally has some celebrity collabs – erm, hello Jason Derulo?

If you want to see Ashley learn TikTok dances, give us behind the scenes of her newest movie and lip sync to the Kardashians, then you’re in luck. She is the same hilarious, down to earth actress/singer that we all remember and love. Also, she got the HSM cast to do a reunion on TikTok – nostalgia feels 101!

Influencers You Know & Love
Emma Connolly & Oliver Proudlock @theproudlocks
The well-known Made in Chelsea couple also decided to join TikTok after the UK got placed on lockdown and they seem to be absolutely loving it. If you follow these two on any social media you will already be in love with them and if you don’t – why don’t you? Their TikTok bio sums it up perfectly to be honest: “Let’s have a laff.”
Victoria Magrath @inthefrow
Victoria used to be a Fashion Retail Lecturer at the University of Manchester so if you’re looking for style tips, she is the master. Her blog, YouTube and Instagram have always left her followers in awe, as her aesthetic and photos (thanks to her photographer hubby) are never anything less than beautiful, naturally her TikTok follows suit.
Jamie Genevieve @jamiegenevieve
Jamie is known for her sassy, hilarious yet caring personality that shines through her YouTube videos and Instagram posts – as well as her beauty and talent of course. Her TikTok account is made up of incredible makeup skills plus humorous memes and lip-syncing that will make you laugh out loud, promise!
This is a very stressful time for everyone and TikTok is honestly how I – as well as a lot of people – have been unwinding. Whether you’re just watching them or creating them, it’s a positive, funny and motivating platform. So, give that viral dance a go! There will never be a better time to spend hours learning 15 seconds of choreography. And – if anyone learns how to do transitions well, please let me know!
